INTER SCHOOL SWIMMING COMPETITION HELD ON 31-10-2009 AT DPS NACHARAM

Delhi Public School, Secunderabad – Nacharam organized an "Inter School Swimming Competition" on 31-10-2009.

Nine leading schools of Secunderabad like Oakridge International School, St. Peters High School, St. Martin’s High School, Chirec Public School,  St. Andrew’s High School, Kendriya Vidyalaya – Picket, Delhi Public School – Hyderabad, Delhi Public School, Secunderabad – Mahendra Hills and Delhi Public School, Secunderabad – Nacharam participated in this event.

"Sixty Five Participants" splashed in the water with all enthusiasm in different events like - Butter Fly, Back Stroke, Free style, 100 meter relay etc.

The competition began with an Inaugural address by Mr. Umesh, the International coach – GHMC followed by a cultural program which included Burra Katha and Telugu Janapada geetham organized by Telugu Department on the eve of Andhra Pradesh Formation day.  The comperer Mrs. Maria engaged the audience with her enthralling and captivating commentary.

DPS Secunderabad – Nacharam won I position  in 100 mts relay in both boys and girls category, and again won I place  in girls  50 mts back stroke,  in Breast stroke for boys in both 100 and  50 mts breast stroke.

St. Peters bagged I position  in boys 100 mts back stroke and butterfly,  50 mts  butter fly and free style  and 4x50 mts back stroke.

Kendriya Vidyalaya won I place in girls 100 mts back stroke, and  100 mts butterfly.

St. Andrews bagged I position in girls 50 mts back stroke and breast stroke.

At 2:30 p.m. prizes were given away to the winners. Participation certificates were given to other participants.
