Class Rooms

Classrooms are large and airy with abundant natural light to provide the right ambience for an effective learning experience at school. A notice board is provided in every Classroom, which is decorated by both teachers and students for different events throughout the academic year. All Classrooms are equipped with student lockers. Junior classes also have an independent class library managed by the respective class teachers.

Library

Our school  has two  libraries with broadband   internet connection. They are centrally located  in the school to facilitate ease of access. A wide range of books aims to help children rediscover the joy of reading. A very extensive reference section helps students work on multi-dimensional projects Video and educational CD’s and VCD’s  are a part of the library which is continuously being replenished with latest books available across the globe.

MATH LAB

Mathematics has always been considered a difficult subject and favorite of only few. Our present education system does not allow interactive learning but concepts through Math lab will go a long way in making the learning more interactive and interesting for students.

In this context DPS, Nacharam collaborated with NIIT e guru, math lab to make the difficult subject of mathematics simpler, exciting & easily reachable to children.

Based on the three pillars of ‘Imagination, Investigation and Interaction, our Math lab providers an unique opportunity to students to understand, internalize discover & verify the basic mathematical & geometrical concepts through concrete objects & situations, thus building interest & confidence in students for learning the subject.

Benefits of Math lab to our students

1. Enables the students to verify or discover several geometrical properties & facts.

2. Using tools like ‘The geometers sketchpad’ students will be able to construct an object & explore its mathematical properties through and exiting visual process, a process that would help in building a strong foundation in Euclidean & non – Euclidean geometry.

3. Provides greater scope for individual participation in the process of learning.

4. Students can construct geometrical figures & explore the mathematical properties by interacting with tools.

5. Enables lateral thinking.

6. It helps in developing the habit of verifications in the students. They accept mathematical truths only after testing their validity practically.

Social Science Lab

Delhi Public School has a unique social studies lab which provides an insight to the glorified past, panorama of the present and the astronomical future.  The lab is equipped with a wide variety of working models like– solar system, phases of the moon, dome, windmill, solar energy cell and a number of maps and instruments like barometer, rain gauge.

Rare collection of minerals, Different variety of soil, stones etc make the lab work interesting. Night watch with the telescope, adoption of villages, literacy drives, Mock parliament, role play, frequent visits to museums (with work sheets) and treasure hunt form a part of this lab procedures. Electronic voting for student council formation is also a lab activity.

Science Lab

The science laboratory excites the students to  explore and experiment the theories taught in the class. There  separate laboratories and one composite laboratory is an envious possession of this school. Besides the regular  practical skills   students are given scientific temper and encouraged to take research projects, inquiry, survey etc. Annual Science exhibition and monthly expert subject lectures make the student travel an extra mile than others.

Computer lab

State of art computer lab with 24 hours internet connection is an added asset to the institution. For a school with five years of standing with 180 computers  of latest configuration gives a technological edge to the students . The latest hardware and software is acquired time to time and updations happen frequently.

English lab

Delhi public school Secunderabad has an international English learning lab to improve the speaking and listening skills. The lab is equipped with 30 learning consoles and a teacher console  monitor to help each student to excel in communication, reading and writing.

Amphitheatre

The Amphitheatre is an air theatre triangular in shape all assemblies, special ceremonies, prize distribution, investiture ceremony and other such events are held here.

Infirmary

A well equipped infirmary caters to the students medical needs during the school hours health card is maintained for every student and regular check ups are done by an eminent panel of doctors.

Transport

The school owns a fleet of  buses which are in compliance with the RTA guidelines. The Recruitment of drivers and  attendees is also   scrutinized in compliance with the guidelines provided to schools . Speedometers (to check the speed ) and regular maintenance keeps the vehicles in good condition . Buses ply on selective routes at the stipulated time . For connectivity with parents, all drivers are provided with mobile phones.
