EVS Programmes
One of the most active clubs in the school. The Eco club members call themselves the NGC (Natural Green Corps). This band is responsible for the school being green. To this effect, the NGC members choose a patch of soil, dig the flower bed, sow the seeds and bring up plants. Each NGC member adopts one plant. They water the plant regularly and bring it up with care. The Environment Week celebrations in the month of July, the monsoon season saw this year 1500 plants being sown in and around the school campus. A herbal garden with different types of Tulsi, Neem, Rose and other plants have been set behind the old block of the school. This little green patch tended carefully by the NGC adds its own beauty to the surroundings. A science week commemorating C V Raman’s contribution is conducted in the month of February. This week sees children demonstrating one new experiment in the assembly every day, as also eminent scientists and guest speakers sharing their vision with the children.
