Parent seeking admission for his/her ward to DPS Secunderabad will have to fulfill the following prerequisites:

1. Admission procedure begins only after the release of advertisement for admissions. Advertisement would be published normally in the month of   November / December  in all the leading News Papers.

2. Admission would be in Pre-Primary classes,however other class admissions depends on the vacancy position(Which will be known in the month of May/June).

3. Parents have to complete the registration formalities with in the stipulated time as mentioned in the advertisement.

4. Any child seeking admission into class I and above should take an entrance examination.

5. The entrance examination would be based on the syllabus of the class preceding admission(For eg: A child seeking admission into class V would be tested on class IV syllabus).

6. The entrance exam would comprise four subjects i.e., English, Math, Science and IInd language (Telugu/Hindi). Each subject would be of 25 marks.

7. The minimum pass percentage to be obtained in the entrance examination is 70, to ensure the results would be declared after one week from the date of entrance.

8. Selected students would be called for a subject interview on a specified date and time. Parents must be present for the interview.

9. Copy of the child’s previous academic record along with Original Date of Birth needs to be brought at the time of interview.

10. After final selection parents are asked to pay the admission fee. 1/4th of admissions done in the academic year are allotted as management quota.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE & INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prospectus Fee: Rs.500/-(Non-Refundable).

2. Registration forms duly filled in all respects should be submitted in the administrative office along with the required documents within 5 working days from the date of issue.

3. Parents are requested to go through the prospectus, admission procedure & instructions carefully before filling the registration form.

4. Incomplete or Illegible registration forms will be rejected. It is advised that parents fill the form themselves.

5. Applying for Registration does not guarantee admission. Admission is subjected to the eligibility of the student and availability of seats.

6. Admission to Pre-Nursery, Nursery & Preparatory will be through observation/interaction present.

7. Date & timings for Observation /Interaction will be intimated later through post and email (if provided)There will be a written aptitude test for students seeking admission to classes I and above.

8. Syllabus for the entrance examination is based on C.B.S.E curriculum.Student would be tested on the syllabus of the completed year.

9. Exam will be of 100 marks i.e., 4 subjects of 25 marks each(English, II Language (Telugu / Hindi), Math, Science for 3 Hrs (45 Min each).

At the time of registration, the following documents are to be submitted in the Administrative office:-


1. Two recent passport size color photographs.

2. Date of birth proof (Issued by Municipal Corporation or any authorized competent authority).

3. Copy of final exam report of previous class to be submitted. Transfer certificate (T.C. from the previous school shall be submitted at the time of confirmation of admission(Duly countersigned by the concerned authority if necessary).
